FIBA Asia – Emirates let Hong Kong off the hook; Jordan, Taipei win

TEHRAN (FIBA Asia U18 Championship for Men): United Arab Emirates came very close to notching their first win in the championship, but let Hong Kong off the hook in a Group IV Quarterfinal round game on Monday.

Hong Kong, who looked withered against the Emirates rally, scraped through to win 72-70.

Malaysia, meanwhile, were yet looking for their first win, after losing to Jordan also in Group IV. Jordan won 84-72.

In Group III, Chinese Taipei slowly, but steadily, wore India down before notching a 95-86 win and finish on top of the Group.
